Black Brook Golf Course was established in 1927 as the Black Brook Golf Club. It was designed by Bert Way, who is also credited with designing the South Course at Firestone Country Club in Akron, the Detroit Golf Club and Mayfield Country Club. Black Brook is just 20 minutes east of Cleveland. Access is easy from Interstate 90 or State Route 2.

ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY OBSERVANCE
Mentor Municipal Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Road
Walking parade steps off at 9:30 a.m. from the Heinen's parking lot (8850 Mentor Avenue). The parade proceeds east along Mentor Avenue, then north on Hopkins Road to the cemetery. Services take place near the Vietnam Memorial. Contact the Parks & Recreation Department at (440) 974-5720.

1ST CHILI OPEN & WINTERFEST- FEBRUARY 25
Black Brook Golf Course, 8900 Lake Shore Boulevard
One of the only area courses open year round, but this is ridiculous! Golfers are sure to be challenged by driving shots across frozen tundra and putting on the improvised 9-hole course of 65-100 yard holes. Play nine snowy holes then retreat to the Club House for a bowl of chili. Cost $12. Proceeds benefit United Way of Lake County. Call (440) 951-0010 for tee times.
